MetaHeritage has launched a European Call for Investment Ideas to identify and support innovative projects, start-ups, SMEs and organisations working at the intersection of cultural heritage, digital innovation, immersive technologies and sustainable tourism. The initiative aims to help high-potential ideas become investment-ready by providing expert guidance, pitch preparation, visibility and opportunities to connect with investors, strategic partners and innovation ecosystems across Europe.

Selected applicants will participate in a structured investment readiness programme, including expert feedback sessions, pitch training and the opportunity to present their project during the online MetaHeritage Pitching Showcase on 5 October 2026. The call welcomes solutions related to digital heritage, virtual and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, cultural tourism, digital platforms, new business models and other innovative approaches that enhance, preserve or promote cultural heritage experiences.

The call is open to eligible applicants from EU Member States and associated countries, including SMEs, start-ups, cultural organisations, tourism operators, heritage institutions, technology providers, universities, public authorities and cross-sector partnerships. Applications must be submitted by 7 August 2026 and include a pitch deck of no more than 10 slides. Participation is free of charge and offers a valuable opportunity to gain visibility, receive expert support and engage with potential investors and collaborators at European level.
